Children's 'Bee Creative' Competition

Teachers - how about this as a project for your class? Parents - would your children enjoy this competition? The Bee Tent at the Honiton Show is always a very popular place to visit and this year a competition has been organised for children of primary school age to make a poster or mobile illustrating bees working together towards their common objective.


Each group to design and make a poster to show how bees collaborate/co-operate/work together in the hive or a mobile to identify different bee roles in the hive. Max size of poster 1m x 1m.


Open to children in three age categories 7 and under, 8-9, and 10-11.

Individuals or groups belonging to selected Devon clubs and organisations.


Entries to be sent to Richard Crowther, Competitions Secretary, East Devon Beekeepers' Association, Silverlea, Longdogs Lane, Ottery St Mary, Devon EX11 1HY.


The best two entries from each group should be with the Competitions Secretary on or before Sunday 30th July 2017.

The contact person can decide how the best two entries are arrived at.

The prize winners will be announced at 4.00pm in the Bee Tent at the Honiton Show on 3rd August 2017. We hope to see as many parents and children there as possible with their entries.
